Hyesung Kim



Hyesung anchors News Now, bringing viewers the most pressing news from Asia and the world with 'live' updates from correspondents in key capital cities.

Prior to joining CNA in 2020, Hyesung was an anchor and correspondent at Arirang TV in Seoul. During her four-year tenure at Arirang TV, she covered major events including the inter-Korean summits, Trump-Kim summit, impeachment of former South Korean president Park Geun-hye and the 2017 South Korean presidential election. She also led coverage of business and economic news, producing features including China's Belt and Road Initiative in Kazakhstan and interviewing high-profile figures like OECD Secretary General Angel Gurria.

Hyesung began her broadcast career with KBS in Seoul where she covered the 2014 Hong Kong protests and interviewed influential political and business leaders.

Hyesung graduated Pi Sigma Alpha from Wellesley College with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and holds a Master's degree at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation.

She is fluent in English, Korean and Mandarin.
