Hyesung Kim



Hyesung anchors News Now, bringing viewers the most pressing news from Asia and the world with 'live' updates from correspondents in key capital cities.

Prior to joining CNA, Hyesung was an anchor and correspondent at Arirang TV in Seoul. During her four-year tenure at Arirang TV, she reported on major stories including the inter-Korean summits, Trump-Kim summits, and impeachment of former South Korean president Park Geun-hye. She also led coverage of markets, tech and business news. Highlights of her work include reporting on AI and 5G technology at CES 2019 in Las Vegas and China's Belt and Road Initiative in Kazakhstan. She also interviewed many high-profile figures like OECD Secretary General Angel Gurria.

Hyesung began her broadcast career with KBS in Seoul, where she covered the 2014 Hong Kong protests.

Born in Korea, raised in China and the U.S., Hyesung is fluent in English, Korean and Mandarin.

Hyesung graduated Pi Sigma Alpha from Wellesley College with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and holds a Master’s degree at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.
