Agarwood has been highly prized for thousands of years. The resin that sometimes forms inside aquilaria trees is distilled into oud, one of the world's most luxurious ingredients for perfume and incense. But because of climate change, entire plantations in northeast Thailand are dying - putting jobs, livelihoods and the region's agarwood industry at stake.
