By 2030, 40 per cent of vehicles sold in China will be electric. This is in line with China's target to hit a peak in carbon emissions in the same year and become carbon neutral in 2060. However, electric vehicles could pose other issues in the future, environmentalists warn. Olivia Siong reports.
