WFH happy hour: Where to get ready-to-drink cocktails delivered in Singapore

You don't need a fully stocked bar – or a dashing bartender – at home. These bars and bottled cocktail businesses offer tipples to be enjoyed in your pyjamas.

WFH happy hour: Where to get ready-to-drink cocktails delivered in Singapore

Bars and entertainment outlets in Singapore are now closed for good reason, with circuit breaker measures in place to keep everyone home and curb the spread of COVID-19.

But that doesn't mean you can't still safely partake in a little cocktail hour with your friends over video chat – even if you don’t have a fully stocked bar and a dashing bartender at home.

07:06 Min
It’s circuit breaker time, so we can’t go out drinking with friends – but it doesn’t mean we can’t still have cocktails and conversation with them over a video call. CNA Lifestyle’s Phin Wong and Genevieve Loh try out home-delivered cocktails over a Zoom happy hour session.

A number of bars have quickly switched gears and are now bottling or vacuum-packing their cocktails so that customers can still enjoy their favourite tipples at home.

Colin Chia, owner of Nutmeg & Clove at Ann Siang Hill, told CNA Lifestyle that they are not doing this to just make money because it isn’t quite enough to recover their other losses. "We just want to be there for our customers during these trying times," he said.

Andrew Yap, founder of The Old Man Singapore, agreed, saying these bottled versions of their cocktails give their guests “the opportunity to drink in the comfort of their home”, keeping in mind “safety for themselves and their family”.

So, the next time you’re hankering for a drink with the boys or a girls’ night with your friends over Zoom, why not order yourself a pre-mixed cocktail bottle or five? That's one way of supporting local businesses while catching up with people you miss at the same time.

We’ve gathered a list of bars and bottled cocktail businesses in Singapore that offer tipples you can enjoy in the comfort of your pyjamas pants. Cheers!

The Old Man Singapore is also showing their support for a local limo transport service called The Collective Group by using them to deliver the cocktails. Customers can pay the drivers directly when the delivery is made.
