Eric Tsang gets star-studded 60th birthday bash
700 stars turn up for Hong Kong veteran actor Eric Tsang's 60th birthday bash.
HONG KONG: Some 700 celebrities from across Asia turned up for Hong Kong veteran actor Eric Tsang’s grand 60th birthday party on Wednesday, reported Hong Kong media.
Organised by Hong Kong broadcast giant TVB at a cost of HK$3 million (S$478,000), ahead of Tsang's actual birthday on Sunday, the party’s guest list read like a who’s who of the Asian entertainment industry.
Stars like Jay Chou, Jackie Chan, Carina Lau and Leon Lai were spotted at the event.
Even heavily pregnant Cherrie Ying and husband Jordan Chan made an appearance, along with one of Tsang’s oldest friends Alan Tam, who was among the many guests that filled all 60 tables at the party.
Speaking to the media at the event, Tsang said his birthday wish is to give back to society, by starting a charity to help retirees and the needy.
