Punk rock trio Green Day will be returning to Singapore on Mar 8, 2020 as part of their global stadium tour.

Singapore will be the first stop on the new tour, which will see them performing solo shows in Asia and Europe in support of their upcoming 13th album Father Of All…, due for release on Feb 7, 2020.

Ticketing details for the Singapore concert will be announced soon.

Other Asian venues include Bangkok, Manila, Taipei, Hong Kong and Tokyo.

In June, the band will also co-headline with Weezer and Fall Out Boy for The Hella Mega Tour in Europe, the UK and North America.

The five-time Grammy Award winners and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees – made up of lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tre Cool – last performed in Singapore in 2010.

Green Day was formed in 1986 in Berkeley, California, and has sold more than 70 million records worldwide. Their 1994 breakout album Dookie sold over 10 million copies and produced several hits including Basket Case and When I Come Around.

In 2004, the band released the rock opera American Idiot, which won the Grammy for Best Rock Album. The album also spawned a stage musical of the same name in 2010.
