If putting together IKEA shelves is a frustrating exercise for you, maybe you can start with something smaller?
The IKEA and LEGO collaboration is coming to Singapore very soon. Known as BYGGLEK, which is Swedish for “build, play”, the collection will be in stores from Feb 18 and online from Feb 25.
The BYGGLEK range consists of four boxes of different sizes, as well as a 201-piece LEGO brick set that’s exclusive to IKEA.
The idea behind the collection is that kids – and adults too, of course – can build to their hearts’ content then store their creations in the storage boxes or attach them to the top of the boxes, which come with LEGO studs on the lids.
The boxes themselves, which come in white, can also be attached to each other – think of them of massive LEGO pieces that can also be used to store things.
The boxes come in four sizes, with the biggest one measuring 35cm by 26cm by 12cm. The medium-sized box is 26cm by 18cm by 12cm. The smaller boxes are 175mm by 127mm by 59mm and 127mm by 88mm by 59mm.
The large- and medium-sized boxes are sold separately, while a set of three of the smaller boxes are sold together. Customers will be limited to only three pieces per article.
Your kids will no longer have an excuse to leave their LEGO pieces on the floor for you to step on.
