Lady Gaga has chimed in with a host of compliments for Blackpink after working with the K-pop girl group on a track called Sour Candy for her new album, Chromatica.
In an interview with Japanese entertainment portal TVGroove, Gaga even allotted herself the title of the “fifth member of Blackpink (on this song)”.
She told TVGroove: “When I called them and asked if they wanted to write a song with me, they were very happy and motivated. It was a really exciting collaboration. I wanted to celebrate them because I love powerful women like them and they also wanted to celebrate me, and we had a great time together with this song.”
She added: “I was excited to hear them interpret the song in Korean and told them that the part was so creative and fun. They’re beautiful young women, really talented, and I’m proud to be the fifth member of Blackpink (on this song).”
