SINGAPORE: Fans of comics and cosplay can look forward to meeting their heroes at the Singapore Comic Con (SGCC) at Marina Bay Sands this weekend.
The event, which runs from Dec 7 to Dec 8, will feature big names such as DC Comics’ Batman illustrator Greg Capullo and Eisner Award nominee David Mack.
Visitors can also look forward to meeting Disney fine artist James C Mulligan, who has worked on hit animations such as Frozen and Moana.
Previously known as the Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Convention, the event will once again feature its Autograph Alley area, where attendees can get their merchandise signed by illustrators such as Tokidoki’s Simone Legno and cartoonist Sarah Andersen.
For those into cute and rare collectibles, Mighty Jaxx will be debuting their new XXRAY Plus Cookie Monster vinyl art toy.
The Singapore-based studio will also be giving away their new Clear Glitter Elmo with a minimum spend of S$250 at their booth.
Figurine fans can also get their hands on other highly sought-after items from exhibitors such as Beast Kingdom and Kinetiquettes.
All SGCC ticket-holders will have access to the PVP Esports zone where they can get up close with their favourite gaming heroes like cosplayer and celebrity streamer Alodia Gosiengfiao and Topson, midlaner for back-to-back champions OG at Dota 2’s premier competition The International.
Tickets for the event are available online at a discounted pre-show price.
Fans can opt to purchase early entry passes, tickets to autograph signing sessions as well as entry to an SGCC Superfan Meet-And-Greet experience.
