SINGAPORE: English singer-songwriter Sting will return to Singapore in 2017, organiser Live Nation Lushington announced on Thursday (Dec 8).
The rocker, whose real name is Gordon Sumner, will be in town for his 57th and 9th tour on May 28, 2017, where he will play at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Tickets, which are priced from S$108, will go on sale to the public on Dec 15 from 10am. Members of the public will be able to purchase them online, at the Indoor Stadium Box Office, at all SingPost outlets, and over the phone at +65 3158-7888, Live Nation Lushington said.
Sting will commence his North American and Europe tour in February next year, before playing in Buenos Aires on May 4.
He joins other big-name acts who will be making their way to Singapore next year, including Coldplay, who will be performing on Mar 31 and Apr 1 at the National Stadium; Guns N' Roses, slated to play on Feb 25 at the Changi Exhibition Centre; as well as Journey, who will rock The Star Performing Arts Centre on Feb 10.
