Raring to do some shopping? The National Day Mega Sale is taking place soon – from Aug 8 to Aug 10 – and Lazada and Mediacorp have teamed up to make the event even more exciting.
In this first-of-its-kind content-commerce collaboration in the region, sellers on the e-commerce platform will be offered Mediacorp’s assets, including television and radio spots, in order to drive sales and amplify engagement with consumers for the upcoming sale event.
Parminder Singh, Mediacorp’s Chief Commercial and Digital Officer, called this partnership “part of Mediacorp’s mission to drive innovation, create greater value for our customers and generate new revenue streams.”
One of the exciting activities taking place in the lead-up to the sale is Lazada’s GUESS IT game show. Celebrity hosts such as Mediacorp DJs Kimberly Wang, Gerald Koh and Sonia Chew, will guide audiences in guessing the correct prices of the featured products during these interactive one-hour shows that will be livestreamed on Lazada’s app.
There's also the Daily Countdown corner bug on Mediacorp’s Channel 5, Channel 8, Suria, Vasantham, CNA and Channel U to drum up excitement for the sale.
And during the National Day Mega Sale event, TV viewers will receive prompts while watching Mediacorp’s channels to shake their smartphones to receive rewards-redemption “coins” in the Lazada app.
