Ong Ye Kung on support for computer, broadband Internet resources for home-based learning(Updated: )
Schools will loan devices to students who do not have computer and Internet access at home for full home-based learning. As of Apr 3, they loaned out about 3,300 devices and more than 200 dongles to students. The Ministry of Education (MOE) expects more students and parents to seek support. Education Minister Ong Ye Kung said this in reply to a Parliamentary question on Monday (Apr 6). He said those from low-income families can apply for a subsidised computer and free broadband. MOE will mobilise resources to support this group of students, he said.
