Chan Chun Sing on impact of US-China trade war on Singapore's economy(Updated: )
Singapore's economic growth forecast for the year will be reviewed in August. Minister for Trade and Industry Chan Chun Sing said this in Parliament on Monday (Jul 8), in response to questions from MPs on the impact of the US-China trade war. In May, MTI had projected a growth forecast of 1.5 to 2.5 per cent this year. Mr Chan said MTI's new forecast will take into account the full set of economic data for the second quarter, as well as the latest “external conditions”, such as the way the US-China trade conflict will develop.
