Ministerial statement: Lawrence Wong on COVID-19 containment strategies(Updated: )
The Government is looking into whether border measures can be relaxed for travellers who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 but for now, it will take a cautious approach, Education Minister Lawrence Wong told Parliament on Monday (Jan 4). He also said that where necessary, border controls will be tightened to limit the risk of the virus and its variants being imported. Mr Wong said all hotel staff in contact with people serving Stay-Home Notice will now be tested for COVID-19 every 14 days. Frequent and widespread testing will be ramped up overall.
