Sharael Taha on Guns, Explosives and Weapons Control Bill(Updated: )
In Parliament on Tuesday (Jan 5), MP Sharael Taha supported criminalising the unauthorised possession of digital blueprints for guns and major gun parts, as proposed in a new Bill. However, he wanted to know how this will be enforced. Mr Sharael also suggested that the law be applied to digital blueprints for gun modifications and attachments such as silencers and scopes, as well as for offensive weapons like knuckledusters and daggers. He also asked how authorities can ensure that easy access to 3D printers in schools and other agencies is not abused.
