Dennis Tan on Fortitude Budget

(Updated: )

How did the Government arrive at the extra S$13 billion in contingency funds asked for in the Fortitude Budget and can it share any draft plans for using the money? NCMP Dennis Tan asked this in Parliament on Friday (Jun 5). He also said wage and rental support under the COVID-19 support packages could have been more targeted and not applied to businesses that might not be affected by the crisis, like supermarkets or healthcare, pharmaceutical and IT firms. Mr Tan also spoke on the risk of imported cases as Singapore reopens its borders, starting with its "fast lane" arrangement with China.
