Mohamed Irshad on Fortitude Budget

(Updated: )

The COVID-19 pandemic is offering a “once-in-a-generation opportunity” to make seismic shifts in the way people do things, said NMP Mohamed Irshad. One of these opportunities lies in re-imagining work arrangements, he said. Speaking during the debate on the Fortitude Budget in Parliament on Friday (Jun 5), he proposed moving away from the traditional five-day work week to a four-day work week, with an option to work from home on the fifth day. He believes this will improve work-life balance and raise productivity.
