Committee of Supply 2020 Debate, Day 5: Lam Pin Min on expanding cycling path network(Updated: )
The Government is speeding up the development of cycling paths, which are expected to span about 800km by 2023. The project will move faster - two years ahead of the original schedule, which would have seen 750km of cycling paths by 2025. Senior Minister of State for Transport Lam Pin Min said this in Parliament on Thursday (Mar 5). He said the Government plans to invest more than S$1 billion to expand cycling paths over the next decade. By 2023, all Housing and Development Board towns will have cycling paths.
