The Green Plan is a solemn pledge to future generations of Singaporeans that there will always be a Singapore, a "shining jewel in the oceans", said Sustainability and the Environment Minister Grace Fu. Outlining the priorities of her ministry in Parliament on Thursday (Mar 4), she said Singapore will take bold and collective action as it must "catch and ride" the new global wave of sustainability. She stressed that the Green Plan is not just a compilation of existing initiatives but a long-term and "living" plan that will evolve along the way.
