Low Yen Ling on lactation facilities in educational institutions(Updated: )
Every school should have lactation facilities within the next three years, said Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Education Low Yen Ling. Speaking in Parliament on Thursday (Mar 26) in reply to an MP’s questions, she said about 85 per cent of primary schools, 65 per cent of secondary schools, and 90 per cent of junior colleges and centralised institutes have a lactation room. For the remaining schools, MOE will progressively provide lactation facilities, where feasible, over the next three years. All Institutes of Higher Learning are equipped with lactation facilities, she said.
