Amy Khor on co-funding for assisted reproduction procedures for women aged 40 and above(Updated: )
The Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) co-funding scheme was enhanced in January 2020 to allow couples who have tried assisted reproduction (AR) or intra-uterine insemination procedures before the age of 40 to tap on up to two of the six co-funded ART cycles for AR procedures at age 40 or later. The age criterion is based on clinical evidence, which shows that the chance of conception decreases with age. Senior Minister of State for Health Amy Khor said this in Parliament on Tuesday (May 26), in reply to an MP’s questions.
