Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation Bill passed in Parliament

Singapore's Parliament voted to pass the Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation Bill after a lengthy debate spread over two days. Seventy-two MPs voted in favour, nine MPs against, while three abstained. The MPs also voted on the amendments to the Bill that were proposed by three NMPs - Anthea Ong, Irene Quay and Walter Theseira. Parliament was then adjourned to a date to be fixed.
