Leong Mun Wai on reviewing Singapore’s justice system(Updated: )
In Parliament on Wednesday (Nov 4), NCMP Leong Mun Wai reiterated his call for an independent inquiry into the Parti Liyani case, saying there had been lapses by all three major institutions of the criminal justice system - the police, prosecution and State Courts. Mr Leong said it was not enough for the relevant agencies to have conducted internal investigations into what went wrong. He suggested that an independent inquiry should have hearings that are open to the public or livestreamed.
