Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim on fire safety for buildings amid safe management measures(Updated: )
Building owners must continue to meet fire safety requirements even as they cordon off entrances and exits as part of safe management measures, said Minister of State for Home Affairs Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim. He said this in reply to an MP's question in Parliament on Thursday (Oct 15). They must ensure that the exits and entrances that are cordoned off must be readily accessible during emergencies. For example, the physical barriers must be easily removable for evacuation in an emergency. SCDF will continue to check on buildings to ensure that they comply with fire safety requirements.
