Amy Khor on Resource Sustainability Bill(Updated: )
Look at Pulau Semakau not as a landfill for trash but as a “treasure island”, said Senior Minister of State for the Environment and Water Resources Amy Khor as she made the call for Singapore to think big on Zero Waste. Speaking in Parliament during the second reading of the Resource Sustainability Bill on Wednesday (Sep 4), she said she believes it is possible to turn Pulau Semakau into a “treasure island” with new recycling efforts. She outlined new rules to manage waste, including strengthening the regulatory framework to zero in on producers and manufacturers.
