Debate on President’s Address: Desmond Lee on spurring collective action and long-term transformation(Updated: )
The Government is focused on getting Singapore through the COVID-19 pandemic and economic downturn, but it must also look at longer-term transformation, said National Development Minister Desmond Lee in Parliament on Friday (Sep 4). In construction, for example, digitalisation will be stepped up and more advanced building technologies adopted to boost productivity and attract local workers. He said drawing on diverse ideas for new solutions to take Singapore forward will also be critical and the Singapore Together Action Networks and industry-led Alliances for Action are part of those efforts.
