Debate on President’s Address: Shawn Huang on keeping Singapore relevant(Updated: )
To remain relevant, Singapore must embrace the realities of a changing world, MP Shawn Huang told Parliament on Friday (Sep 4). He said it is the responsibility not just of the State but of all Singaporeans to operate as an ecosystem of differentiated capabilities, much like the world’s most established companies including Google and Alibaba. Mr Huang called on Singaporeans to excel in whatever they choose to do, on Singapore to become a leader in emerging technologies, and for a deep understanding of national identity to underpin the country's ongoing evolution.
