Lee Bee Wah on Children and Young Persons (Amendment) Bill(Updated: )
There has been a worrying increase in the number of sexual abuse-related cases. More children who are between 13 and 15 years old are beyond parental control. MP Lee Bee Wah raised these concerns in Parliament on Tuesday (Sep 3), during the debate on the Children and Young Persons (Amendment) Bill. She wanted to know how the Government plans to enable the community to intervene early. She also asked if the Ministry of Social and Family Development can consider running a parenting education clinic for those who have problems raising their children.
