Lee Bee Wah on Land Transport (Enforcement Measures) Bill(Updated: )
MP Lee Bee Wah spoke on the Land Transport (Enforcement Measures) Bill in Parliament on Monday (Sep 10). She asked if Singapore is being too hasty in wanting to become "car-lite" when mindsets and infrastructure are not ready. Ms Lee pointed to what she called a lack of strategic and forward planning on the part of transport authorities, which has led to them playing catch-up in ensuring public safety when confronted with reckless users of personal mobility devices.
