The chair of the Government Parliamentary Committee for Finance, Trade and Industry Liang Eng Hwa said on Wednesday (Feb 24) that it is key to invest in the future without drawing on past reserves. He added that Budget 2021 sets in place a framework to fund long-term infrastructure with long-term borrowing, representing a shift from Singapore's past approaches.
