Comedian behind viral hit PPAP coming to Singapore

Piko-Taro will be at WakuWaku's booth at Anime Festival Asia on Nov 27.

SINGAPORE: The Japanese comedian who performed the viral hit Pen Pineapple Apple Pen (PPAP) is coming to Singapore this month.

Piko-Taro will be at the Anime Festival Asia (AFA) on Nov 27, announced entertainment channel WakuWaku on its Facebook page on Tuesday (Nov 15).

His infectious 45-second jingle set a Guinness record as the shortest song to make it into the Billboard Hot 100, helped by an endorsement from Justin Bieber. PPAP was released on YouTube in August and has since garnered more than 84 million views.

The AFA will run from Nov 25 to 27 at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre.
