Edwin Tong on Temporary Occupation Licences

03:47 Min
Temporary Occupation Licences (TOLs) are tenancy agreements for interim use of state land that is not needed for immediate development. Applications for TOLs or their renewal, as well as the duration, are considered on a case-by-case basis, said Second Minister for Law Edwin Tong in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 3). Answering an MP’s questions, he said the Singapore Land Authority looks at factors like the nature of the land, whether the site might be affected by development plans and whether the proposed use has heritage value, or might cause disamenities in the community.
