SINGAPORE: The first batch of bus services under the Bulim package, to be run by Singapore’s third local operator Tower Transit, will be rolled out on May 29, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced on Friday (Apr 29).
The Bulim package, which was awarded to UK-based Tower Transit under the bus contracting model, will be launched in three tranches, LTA said. The other two tranches of bus services will be rolled out on Jun 12 and Jun 26.

The package consists of 26 bus services which will operate from three bus interchanges – Bukit Batok, Clementi and Jurong East; and terminate at four bus interchanges – Bedok, Marina Centre, Shenton Way, and Toa Payoh. They will be supported by the Bulim Bus Depot located off Jurong West Avenue 2.
LTA Chief Executive Chew Men Leong said: “The Bulim bus package marks the start of the bus contracting model. We would like to assure commuters that LTA, Tower Transit Singapore, SBS Transit and SMRT are working together tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that the transition is as smooth as possible.”
Mr Andrew Bujtor, managing director of Tower Transit Singapore, said: “We have been extremely focused and we are now in a very good position in terms of manpower and operational readiness. When we finally hit the road, our promise is that with the release of each tranche, each bus and each trip, we will continue to get better and more intuitive in serving our commuters.”
