SINGAPORE: A new SAFRA clubhouse is set to open to public in April, next to the Punggol Waterway Park at Sentul Crescent.
SAFRA Punggol, a five-storey building spanning 1.45 hectares of land, is a one-minute walk from Sam Kee LRT station and a six-minute walk from Punggol MRT.
The facility, which cost S$64.4 million to develop, will serve an estimated 80,000 NSmen and their families living in the North-East region of Singapore, the development committee said at a media preview of the compound on Thursday (Jan 14).
The Punggol compound will feature an indoor water playground, named Splash @ Kidz Amaze. The three-storey playground will have an interactive augmented reality wall and offer rooms for children's birthday parties.

SAFRA Punggol will also house NurtureStars' biggest preschool, with an enrolment of up to 120 children. Five enrichment centres in the club will cater to children from three to 16 years old, and will focus on areas such as dance, music, language and gymnastics.
The facility is located next to the Punggol Waterway Park connector as well, and it will be the first SAFRA Club to have a kiosk for visitors to rent bicycles and rollerblades.
The facility will offer the largest gym in the Punggol Estate, and the development committee is looking to create amenities to support water sports like kayaking, it said.
Other recreational features include karaoke, bowling and darts, as well as food and beverage outlets.
According to the committee, the Punggol facility will be the first SAFRA Club to have naturally ventilated corridors, which will allow the facility to make use of natural light, and tenants will be required to adopt recycling strategies to reduce overall waste. The club will save up to S$30,000 a month by conserving energy and water, it estimated.
For these efforts, SAFRA Punggol is the first SAFRA club to be awarded the Building and Construction Authority Green Mark Platinum Award, the committee said.
The public will have access to most of SAFRA Punggol facilities during the soft opening on April 24.
