SINGAPORE: A Jetstar plane bound for Phuket turned back 25 minutes into the flight on Sunday afternoon (Jan 22), after experiencing a ventilation issue.
Flight 3K535 departed Singapore at 3.03pm, according to flight tracker website FlightRadar24, and landed at Changi Airport at 3.55pm. A spokesperson for Changi Airport told Channel NewsAsia that no assistance was required from the flight.
"The pilot decided for the aircraft to return the aircraft to Singapore as a precautionary measure after there was an indication that the aircraft was experiencing a ventilation issue," Jetstar spokesperson Robin Goh said.
All passengers have been transferred to another aircraft and it is set to depart on Sunday evening.
The airline also conveyed its apology to the affected passengers for the inconvenience it has caused. "The safety of our crew and customers is our top priority," Mr Goh said.
