RIO DE JANEIRO: With six days left to the end of the Rio 2016 Olympics, there is still plenty to contest: 27 gold medals are up for grabs on the eleventh day of the competition across sports such as canoeing, athletics, boxing, table tennis and synchronised swimming.
It is a big day for Singapore's women's table tennis team, who will be vying with Japan for the bronze medal at 10pm (Singapore time). The paddlers are eager to add to Singapore's medal count in Brazil after Joseph Schooling's gold medal-winning performance in the 100m butterfly.
Singapore's women table tennis team won silver and bronze at Beijing 2008 and London 2012 respectively, and the trio of Feng Tianwei, Yu Mengyu and Zhou Yihan will want to continue the winning streak.
Elsewhere, athletics will crown champions for the men's 110m hurdles, women's 1,500m, the men's high jump and the men's triple jump. In boxing, local favourite Robson Conceicao will face Frenchman Sofiane Oumiha in the lightweight 60kg final.
