Ships That Shaped Us

About the show:

Four artists are given mysterious missions to create new works of art based on the forgotten journeys of four 19th century ships that forever changed Singapore's history. From the swashbuckling tales of Singapore's first anti-piracy steamship, to a haunting vessel that brought the first convicts to Singapore to serve as laborers, the task has fallen on these artists to unearth the stories of these ghost ships from the past, and bring them back to life as unique pieces of art. What will they learn, and through that, what will they create? What will looking through the portholes of history tell us about our own past and how we've come to be? Weigh the anchor, raise the sails, and prepare for one hull of an adventure into the past.
