Adjournment motion on limits to artistic expression in everyday places(Updated: )
NMP Kok Heng Leun raised an adjournment motion in Parliament on Monday (Sep 10), to address issues that limit artistic expression in everyday places. He called for more flexibility in allowing spontaneous performances or displays of art to occur in public spaces. In response, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Grace Fu elaborated on what the Government has done to provide for this, but said a careful balance must be struck between artists and stakeholders who own or use public premises. Parliament was then adjourned.
