Amy Khor responds to issues raised on Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners (Amendment) Bill(Updated: )
Senior Minister of State for Health Amy Khor answered queries from five MPs on proposed changes to the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Act in Parliament on Monday (Feb 11). She said over the past five years, the number of complaints against TCM practitioners has stayed relatively constant at under 10 each year, with about half requiring disciplinary action. Dr Khor also explained why the maximum fine for misconduct has been raised to S$50,000, saying TCM practitioners - like allied health professionals and dentists - are deemed to provide direct outpatient care. The Bill was passed.
