Baey Yam Keng on COVID-19 impact on Singapore International Festival of Arts 2020(Updated: )
Arts groups should adapt their productions to suit a digital-based presentation format so that they can continue to engage audiences amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Culture, Community and Youth Baey Yam Keng made this call in reply to Parliamentary questions. He said the National Arts Council (NAC) has decided not to stage the Singapore International Festival of Arts (SIFA) 2020 in May. Speaking in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 25), he said NAC will work with local arts groups involved to explore how they can offer innovative arts and culture experiences.
