The COVID-19 pandemic has reinforced the need for Singapore to continue to play an active role internationally and deepen its interactions with key stakeholders and other countries, said MP Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim. Speaking in Parliament on Friday (Feb 26), he said it will be even more critical for Singapore to maintain and strengthen its relations with its immediate neighbours to overcome the socio-economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Singapore, he said, should work towards establishing more travel bubbles with strategic countries as the situation around the world improves.
