Seventeen per cent of Singapore's Direct Investment Abroad in China is located in Hubei, Zhejiang, Henan and Guangdong. These four cities were also the most affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry Chee Hong Tat gave this update in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 25), in reply to an MP’s questions. He said about 70 per cent of Singapore companies have started resuming operations in China. This number will rise as the COVID-19 situation in China improves, he said.
