Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 1: Cheng Li Hui on protecting classified information

Public servants may come across classified information that is crucial to their jobs, but there could be “dire consequences” if the information is wrongly shared, said MP Cheng Li Hui in Parliament on Friday (Feb 26). Pointing to recent leaks involving COVID-19 measures and a fatal stabbing incident, she asked how discipline can be further instilled in Government officers when handling possession of such information.
