Singapore's carbon emissions are not insignificant relative to its geographical size, given that it is densely built with manufacturing and other economic activities. So how can it balance these competing demands in terms of its short and long-term climate goals without compromising the quality of life for citizens, asked MP Gan Thiam Poh in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 3). He sought to know what climate initiatives and projects could be achieved in the short, medium and long term.
