Singapore has committed to reducing emission intensity by 36 per cent from 2005 levels by 2030 and to stabilise greenhouse emissions, aiming to peak at around 2030, said MP Liang Eng Hwa in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 3). Citing other countries' more ambitious targets, he asked if Singapore would be raising its climate change ambitions. He also asked what untapped spaces there are for solar energy deployment and how the Government is leveraging innovation to do so.
