Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 4: Sharael Taha on impact of carbon tax cut on climate strategy and economy

Singapore's lower rates of tax are one reason why it is attractive for investors, said MP Sharael Taha in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 3). He wanted to know how an increase in the carbon tax will impact the country's climate strategy. He also asked how the Government will strike a balance between encouraging industries to adopt new technologies to be more efficient while guarding against the possible loss of investments.
