The littering situation has not improved in the past five years, said MP Lim Biow Chuan, citing his experience clearing litter in his constituency. Speaking in Parliament on Thursday (Mar 4), he urged the National Environment Agency to consider other options to signal that littering is not acceptable. It should amend the law to make all litterbugs - first-time offenders included - serve Corrective Work Orders. He said this will send a strong message to those who leave their mess for others to clear.
