Denise Phua on plugging gaps in support for people with disabilities(Updated: )
Singapore has made a lot of progress in addressing the needs of people with disabilities but gaps remain, MP Denise Phua told Parliament on Wednesday (Oct 14). In an adjournment motion, she said there are few services and work options for special needs students after they complete their education. Minister of State for Social and Family Development Sun Xueling said more is being done, such as better support to transition from school to adult life and guidelines for insurers to treat PWDs equally unless justified.
