Edwin Tong on protecting Singapore's national songs and symbols(Updated: )
The Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) is reviewing the rules governing Singapore's national symbols. It is also looking into whether there is a need to enhance intellectual property protection for the country's national symbols. Culture, Community and Youth Minister Edwin Tong, who said this in reply to Parliamentary questions on Monday (Apr 5), also said the Government was prepared to initiate legal proceedings over ownership claims of the national song Count on Me, Singapore.
