Fewer babies were born between January and March this year compared to the same period a year ago. In fact, Singapore's total fertility rate fell to a historic low of 1.1 last year. Experts say this was partly due to the "circuit breaker", between April and June 2020. But birth rates are likely to climb back up with the positive economic outlook.
